Stratton Lodge Bootility

This family loves to walk and always brings their furry friend along for weekend strolls, often resulting in lots of mud, wellie boots, and wet coats. Therefore, they needed plenty of space for showering the dog, hanging wet coats, and storing muddy boots.

The area also needed to include a downstairs W.C. and laundry. By stacking the laundry appliances and incorporating a handy pull-out drawer for the basket, as well as a tall larder for cleaning products, they made the best use of the space. They even created a cozy dog bed area in the old chimney breast.

A large bench seat with storage for muddy boots and a broom cupboard running off the W.C. wall were added. The dog shower was designed at a higher level to make cleaning easier and to conceal the plumbing and drain. A convenient rail was installed to hang clothing for air drying.

The cabinetry in this room matches the colours of the main kitchen and, while still bespoke to maximise storage by height and awkward sizing, it uses a more cost-effective design to help stay within budget.
