The Stratton Kitchen
The Stratton kitchen was crafted for a charming Victorian home south of Bristol. Our client loved period features, calm interiors, and elegant finishes, so the new kitchen needed to integrate seamlessly with the existing aesthetic and architecture.
The door mouldings are intricate, yet the overall feel remains simple with oversized single larders and wide drawers. Subtle enhancements like the limed oak shelf, precisely cut stone around the sink, raised stone shelf, and beautiful pocket dresser doors contribute to a sophisticated and peaceful space, keeping utilities hidden without sacrificing functionality.
The colour palette includes antique brass handles, a Quooker tap, brass wall lights, Little Greene Slaked Lime, and railings finished in beautiful Farrow & ball paint. The flooring extends through most of the house, creating a cohesive look with warm tones.
Our client wanted a functional larder and loved symmetry, which we achieved by boxing out the kitchen corner and elevating the fridge freezer into a custom frame, allowing the moulding to flow seamlessly. We did not want to lose any precious space, so we suggested knocking into the orangery and utilising this as a display case, which worked beautifully.
